Round 1 - Application
So I was really unhappy with my current job.
Everyone was grumpy the whole time, communication was a mess and I felt like the work they did wasn't making anyone's life better.
I've always loved to sell things and make people smile.
So even though I'm 25+ and went to university I wanted to try out working at Starbucks!
Learning everything from scratch as a regular barista.
Some of my friends had worked there and I never heard a lot of negative stuff except that it can become stressful and that some stores are pretty much understaffed.
To be honest - I don't mind!
In my old job I was sitting around a lot, people didn't know what to do with me because I was picking up things very fast, but didn't had enough company-specific knowledge to take over a lot of responsibility yet.
I just need a certain amount of stress to function efficiently and I hope I'll find that at Starbucks!
So~
I was still working in my old job and although I had 0 motivation to continue there it was still paying my rent, so there was no risk or need to rush things.
One evening I just thought - well let's try this! - and I submitted my application online.
Current jobs are really easy to find on their website, but I also saw posters in the store-windows when they were looking for new staff.
So I think it's okay to just skip by and hand in your application.
I've written a lot of applications in my life already and had my CV and documents up to date so it took me like 10 minutes until clicking the 'submit' button.
Seconds later I got the automatic reply that they received my documents and the wait started~!
